The Chairman, Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo -Alogba, has used the occasion of the 2025 International Day of the Girl Child, to reiterate her administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for the development of the Girl – Child in Ijede LCDA.
In a statement by the Chairman today, she also charged and emphasised that it is the responsibility of the entire society to give every girl quality education and equal opportunities to excel.
“On this year’s International Day of the Girl Child, I join the world in celebrating the strength, resilience, and limitless potential of our young girls, especially those in Ijede LCDA.

“Our girls are tomorrow’s leaders, innovators, and change-makers. As a society, it is our collective responsibility to ensure that every girl has access to quality education, a safe environment, and equal opportunities to thrive.
“As a government, we reaffirm our commitment to nurturing an enabling atmosphere where our girls can grow into empowered, confident, and accomplished individuals.”
She also urged parents and other stakeholders to come together in unity in developing girls.
“This task requires all of us from parents, teachers, community leaders, to stakeholders to stand together in support of the girl child.

“On this special day, let us rededicate ourselves to promoting gender equality and protecting the rights and well-being of every girl child. Together, we can build a brighter future where no dream is out of reach.”
